OPJCC will train Prison inmates of Raigarh Jail

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2016, Hon’ble Minister of State of Mines, Steel Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated skills training programmes at Raigarh District jail.   Nodal Officer District Skill Development Authority Shri Pramod Jain and District Collector Mrs. Alarmelmangai D were also present.  OP Jindal Community College Punjipathra, Raigarh will impart quality construction skills training to transform the lives of prisoners.  DC Alarmelmangai D highlighted OPJCC’s year-long role as a premier training partner of Raigarh Livelihood College, an all-woman’s residential facility.  She remarked that OPJCC’s holistic vocational training curriculum, including teaching entrepreneurship skills has resulted in very good job placement rates. To cap off the celebration, Hon’ble Minister Sai distributed certificates to RLC students and job offer letters. Raigarh District Labour Department officials also distributed stipend cheques. In front of an appreciative audience, Ms. Hemlata Naik, a differently-abled RLC alumna from the first "Front Office cum Receptionist" training batch talked about how OPJCC training has changed her life.  She is currently working at Raigarh Bus Station as an announcer, a dream come true she remarked.
