Devotees were served during Rath Yatra at Saila Srikshetra

JSPL Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) provided safe mineral drinking water and first aid medical services to thousands of devotees who took part during the Rath and Bahuda Yatra 2016 held at Saila Srikshetra Angul. The Company in coordination with the District Administration and Jagnnath Temple Management Committee provided safe drinking water through a special water kiosk installed near Jagannath Temple and Angul Stadium on Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra, respectively.

A fully equipped mobile health unit consisting of a doctor, paramedics and oxygen cylinder with different life supportive measures was also deployed near the chariots of the deities. Dr. Deepak Kumar Sahu & his team of OP Jindal Occupational Health Centre extended medical service at the First-Aid centre set up by the District Red Cross Society, Angul on Rath Yatra & Bahuda Yatra. Executive Director and Location Head of JSPL, Angul, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, greeted the community on this occasion. Keeping its pledge for Swaccha Bharat mission of the Government of India JSPL used stainless glasses in place of disposable glasses that creates pollution and served mineral water to devotees in it.

The Water Kiosk on both the days distributed more than 5000 liters of Safe mineral drinking water. About 10 Scout & Guide Cadets of O.P. Jindal School joined the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team of JSPL in distributing the water to devotees. JSPL has also supported in organizing a serene Bhajan Sandhya programme on 13th July, 2016 at Sri Gudincha Temple, Angul.

These humanitarian services were appreciated by the devotees and the local community and the Dist. Administration. The programme was coordinated by team CSR of JSPL, Angul.
