Honourable Chairman graced the National Mining Conclave

Honourable Chairman Sh. Naveen Jindal attended in the inaugural session of recently concluded First National Mining Conclave at Raipur. The Ministry of Mines, along with Government of Chhattisgarh jointly organised the conclave at Hotel JW-Marriot, Raipur on 4th to 5th July, 2016. Finance Minister Sh. Arun Jaitely inaugurated this first ever National Conclave on Mines & Minerals. Mining Minister Sh. Narendra Singh Tomar, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, Industry Minister Sh. Amar Agrawal, Member of Parliament Sh. Ramesh Bais, Secretaries of Govt of India and Chhattisgarh were present to give boost to the programme.
In an interview to a Television Channel on the side-lines of the Conclave, honourable Chairman says, “Chhattisgarh state is rich in minerals but it is not being explored properly. State government is taking due care to explore it systematically.”

“Although Steel Industry is facing tough time because of the challenge created by China, We are taking necessary steps including divesting of 1000 MW power project. After debts repayments we have to go for some strategic investments as well in the wake of the changes, specially de-allocation of coal blocks so that we can continue to produce our full capacity" he added.
